Awesome results for Julie following her move to the USA at the end of last year. Her new base in Boulder, Colorado is clearly an inspiring training mecca and Julie was well and truly ready to attack 2009 with a bang!
To start off the season, Julie competed in 2 Xterra races (off-road triathlon) in Asia - Xterra Guam and Xterra Saipan. Both of these races are extreme, not only due to the unusual terrain but also because of the humid conditions and blistering heat.
For race day, Julie chose the Skinfit Speedsuit - a finely tuned racing garment, especially designed for fast-swim times in non-wetsuit races. The Speedsuit gives you the edge in all three disciplines, thanks to its ergonomic cut, hydrodynamic material, teflon coating and breathable properties.
Julie retained her winner's crown at Xterra Guam and finished second at Xterra Saipan behind Renata Bucher, the Swiss off-road specialist. You can read all about Julie's exploits on her website at www.juliedibens.com.
Thank you to Rich Cruse for the amazing race photography.
Well done Julie and we look forward to your next race report!
